Game Design: White Box Level Design FPS Puzzler Mobile
Unreal Engine fly-through of this simple white boxed game level meant to illustrate the core mechanics of a first-person puzzler game for mobile devices.
This gameplay walkthrough of the prototype shows the puzzle mechanics in action, screen recorded on a deployed build of the game project running on an Android device.
Working with trigger volumes, which were linked to blueprint visual scripting logic in Unreal Engine which "stores" and "retrieves" the red key cubes.
Establishing NavMesh bounds for the AI "robot" block to embark on its path across the hazard pit — as long as the player can tap all 4 platform raisers fast!
